Where Y’at Microfinance Initiative will be a Tulane student-run organization based in New Orleans dedicated to addressing both the causes and symptoms of poverty. Our operating ideal will be as follows: when individuals are armed with knowledge on credit and personal finances, along with when communities partner together to bridge gaps, a city wide economic shift is possible and will ensure a better quality of life for all. WYMI will offer business training and loans, personal financial training and consumer loans, as well as develop community outreach programs for the city of New Orleans.
